There are a lot of buzz around here; it is not because Tez is a first mobile payment app but it is because Tez is from Google; specially developed for India.
So Google too jumped into an e-payment market industry and launched a new mobile payment app. Ever since demonetization happened and Indian government encouraged people to use digital transaction; we have noticed that many companies came up with their own payment app including Paytm, BHIM, Freecharge, JIO Money, Mobikwik, PhonePe and now Google Tez.
Here are the Google Tez top 5 features you must know before installing or using Google Tez app.
Tez uses UPI interface. UPI (Unified Payment Interface) is a payment system that allows transferring money between two bank accounts. Unlike Paytm or Freecharge, Tez is not a wallet app, instead of it is simply for connecting back account to transfer money, all you have to do is to link your account to Tez over UPI and transfer money to another account.
Google tez is a lightweight and simple app which has a minimal layout so finding options are pretty easy whether it is QR codes, UPI ID or Cash Mode.
Security is very important for any digital transaction app and this should be the first priority feature. So here we have Google’s trust. There are still many of us who scare to use any such app and to link it to our bank accounts. Google claims that it uses multi-layered security and works 24/7 to prevent fraud, hacking and identifying verification.
Also, Tez uses phone’s PIN ID or fingerprint sensor for security. Moreover, we can also use Google PIN to secure it.
Tez comes with special Cash Mode feature which let us transfer or receive money without sharing our sensitive data. Google Tez uses AQR (Audio QR) technology which is similar to QR codes. Using AQR technology, it finds recipients phones near you and transfers the money. It is very useful in day to day shopping which allows paying the shopkeepers without revealing private information.
In all the other e-payment apps we have to share personal details like phone number or bank account details, however, this special Cash Mode feature enables us to send or receive money without sharing such information.
Multi-Language Support – Made for India
Google Tez is specially Made for India. It supports several Indian languages such as Hindi, Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil, and Telugu along with English.
Google’s contacts list
Google automatically sync your contact list and you can pay to any one of them who already installed and completed set. This makes a large number of list whom you want to send money because of your friends and family already in your contact list. Moreover, if someone does not have Tez app we can still transfer money by entering their UPI ID.
Google currently offering to make it popular. If you invite anyone to Tez, you each will get Rs. 51 /-. However, you will both be paid only when your referral makes their first payment. This offer only valid until 31 March 2018.
Currently, the app is available for both Android and iPhone users. You can download it from google play store.
