HTC U12 is an upcoming flagship smartphone which is expected to be launched in May this year and we have latest updates on its specifications and features.
The HTC U12 will be the next upcoming flagship phone from HTC and according to the latest update from a ROM Developer ‘LlabtooFeR‘, in his twitter account, its specifications have been leaked out, with the phone apparently named ‘Imagine’.
First of all, we observe is that it features a QHD+ resolution with an aspect ratio of 18:9. HTC U12 Imagine will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset, this will be the latest chipset any smartphone will offer, of course until other manufacturer launches earlier.
The smartphone will sport a 5.99-inch QHD+ display with 1440×2880 pixels resolution. And along with Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC chipset, it will be coupled with large 6GB RAM and a huge 256GB of inbuilt ROM. Right now other smartphones are coming with 64GB or 128GB of inbuilt ROM. But we doubt if you would consider it just for ROM size, won’t you? Write to us in the comment below.
HTC U12 smartphone will be coupled with a dual rear camera of 16MP and 12MP using Sony IMX sensors. The smartphone expected to have 8MP front camera with video calling support. Though this is definitely not a great configuration as per the brand value we can expect good image quality. The device will be powered by 3420mAh battery and it might be a non-removable. As per the tweet, the device will be available in both single and Dual SIM version.
The HTC U12 will run on Android 8.0 Oreo with HTC’s own Sense 10 version, and it may additionally include IP68 water and dust proof coating with Face Unlock technology. So HTC U12 will be too coming with Face Unlock technology as we know that we already have it in iPhone 8 and Oneplus 5T smartphones. There is no confirmation whether it will be protected by Gorilla glass.
